Who are these pétanque balls intended for?
The Mars Inox Boulenciel triplets feature a hardness of 110 kg/mm2. They are primarily designed for shooters. However, it’s worth noting that some pointers who enjoy playing on hard surfaces may also appreciate them.
Why choose this triplet of balls?
One of the standout features of Boulenciel is its ultra-balanced balls. This unique performance is not the result of chance. It’s due to the manufacturing process and Boulenciel's professionalism, with the company having a background in the aerospace industry. For your information, these Mars Inox balls are turned on both sides (exterior and interior). A final rectification follows, just like with the Venus Inox or Saturne Inox balls.
This turning, along with the rectification, is particularly distinct at Boulenciel. It is also important to note that the manufacturer uses CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, which are responsible for the high precision in the triplets of the brand. Another important point is that the Mars Inox model has reduced rebound. You will likely notice this if you enjoy shooting "carreau" shots. Its performance in pointed positions is equally impressive.
What are its characteristics?
Color: Gray
Material: Stainless steel
Hardness: Soft (110 kg/mm2)
Diameter: 71 to 76 mm
Weight: 680 to 700 g
Warranty: 2 years
The Mars Inox competition balls stand out from other Boulenciel triplets because of the small holes visible on the surface. The manufacturer assures customers that this feature enhances the shock absorption of the pétanque ball itself. Additionally, if you order from Pétanque Web, this triplet comes with a free cochonnet and a polishing cloth.
Our tips for maintaining these competition balls
Like other stainless steel balls, the Boulenciel Mars Inox doesn’t require extensive maintenance. However, it is true that it can lose its shine over time. Therefore, it’s advisable to clean them occasionally, especially after a game of pétanque, using a soft cloth. If you plan to wash them, ensure they are completely dry before applying Vaseline.
